How To Build A Refractor Telescope If You Had Limited Funds To Build A Large Telescope, Which Type Would You Choose, A Refractor Or A Reflector?

If you had limited funds to build a large telescope, which type would you choose, a refractor or a reflector? - how to build a refractor telescope

Why?

If we are talking about a large professional observatory telescope has a reflector. Telescopic lenses are limited in size because if you get a piece of glass is very good and is only supported on its edges, which can be downloaded and distort the picture.

If this house is an amateur telescope ... a reflector. It is easy to buy a mirror of a Newtonian reflector (mostly rise on a Dobsonian because it's cheap and easy to build), or even a target vessel may be shaped by grinding a mirror. Good lenses are extremely difficult and expensive to buy.

Certainly, a reflector - Lens definitley telescope with the construction of a large scale is difficult and very expensive. You can buy or make apochromatic reflectors these days that rival the best glasses, if necessary.

A reflector. You can make a mirror from glass, a material that is very cheap to build, but to make a large optical telescope completely in order.

Reflector. You usually get better looks for less money with a reflector rather than a refractor.

A style Dobsonian reflector is better bang for the buck of a telescope.
